Hoyer Announces Federal Funds to Keep Baltimore Harbor Open for Business and Continue Restoration of Poplar Island

WASHINGTON, DC Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD), a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee and the only member from Maryland, announced that the House of Representatives today passed the Fiscal Year 2007 Energy and Water Appropriations Bill which included $15.4 million for Baltimore Harbor maintenance dredging and $13.1 million for the Poplar Island Project.________________________________________________________________________

Hoyer Announces $2 Million to Help Restore Bay's Oyster Population Island

WASHINGTON, DC Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD) announced that the House of Representatives today passed the Fiscal Year 2007 Energy and Water Appropriations bill which included $2 million for the Oyster Recovery Project, which is coordinating the revival of oysters in the Chesapeake Bay.
