Special Olympics International
1133 19th St. NW, Washington, DC 20036 Funding would be used to expand international training capacity for coaches, trainers, and athletes; establish regional and sub regional training centers; and establish comprehensive education, outreach and advocacy programs. This funding is a good use of taxpayer dollars because it will increase worldwide participation in the Special Olympics while educating the global community about individuals with intellectual disabilities in an effort to overcome the bias and prejudice that this community so often suffers from.
